Hello, Stranger!
Hi, I’m Domiziano, a computer scientist based in Rome. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (provided entirely in English) with a focus on Deep Learning.
During my studies at University of Rome “La Sapienza” I had the occasion to work on many projects, ranging from Web Development to Deep Learning; make some experiences; and from time to time contribute to some open source projects that I care about.
Sometimes I also like to share some ideas about anything that I feel like sharing.
Technical Skills
I am proficient in various programming languages, including Python, TypeScript, Java and SQL. I also used a little bit of Swift to contribute to a MacOS app I currently use.
In terms of tools and frameworks, I work with React and React Native for frontend development, and FastAPI and Express for backend development. I utilize MongoDB and Prisma for database management, and I employ Docker and Terraform for DevOps. I have experience deploying applications on AWS, Railway, and Netlify. I also used pytest and jest for unit testing in python and javascript.
Regarding deep learning, my framework of choice is PyTorch, using also wandb to keep an eye on the model training.
I do not have access to an NVIDIA GPU, and because of that many times I used GPUs on remote machines, renting them on vast.ai and accessing them using ssh.
Other skills
I am familiar with design softwares such as Figma, Adobe XD and Photoshop, which I used in many university and personal projects to create the assets and design the UI of the application. I also used Premiere Pro and and Da Vinci Resolve for other recreational reasons.
